Print Marketing
It might be the age of technology, but that doesn’t mean that you should overlook old-school print marketing strategies. Print marketing has been around for a very long time and it will continue to be around because it is still very effective if used properly.
So what does print marketing even mean? Simply put, it’s a type of offline marketing that you can physically touch and print on. There are many forms of print marketing including but not limited to:
Business Cards | Flyers | Postcards | Brochures | Doorhangers | Table Tents | Catalogs | Flags | Letterheads | Posters | Banners | Tradeshow Displays | Offline Directories | Mailers | Magazine Ads | Newspapers Ads | Signs | Stickers | Magnets | Billboards | Apparel | and so much more…

If you can physically print on it, you can look at it as print marketing. You just need to decide what form of print marketing will work best for you and your business.
Let’s say you’re a real estate agent and you specialize in helping homeowners in the North-East Chicago area sell their homes. One option would be to send out mailers to homeowners with an estimated home value over $500k inside the zip code 60610. In this mailer, you could include a custom business card that stands out, a company brochure that helps you establish credibility, and a short letter on your company letterhead explaining how you can sell their home for top dollar quickly and efficiently. Since you’re targeting homeowners that have an estimated home value over $500k, your mailer should be professionally designed and professionally printed in order to increase your response rate. A local billboard might not be a bad option either!
Let’s give you another example. Let’s say that you’re an HVAC company and you specialize in servicing and installing air conditioning and heating units. For every unit that you service or install, you could put a sticker on the unit with your company name and phone number. That way, if it ever goes out again, the homeowner can look at the HVAC unit and easily call that number if it ever goes out again. If sales are slow, you can also have a bunch of postcards designed and mailed out to current customers offering them a coupon on their next HVAC maintenance check-up. Oh yeah…don’t forget to order custom shirts that your HVAC technicians wear every day to help with branding. The possibilities are endless.
Print advertising is still an amazing marketing and advertising method if the right print marketing strategies are used for your business’s niche. If the print advertising medium that you need requires a simple design that you can do yourself, then we recommend that you just order these yourself online to save yourself some money.
